Department of transport sector development conception (O11)

Department 11 - illustration photoThe department of transport sector development conception is engaged in the processing of development projects and background documents used to create transport policies, as well as the preparation of expert opinions for transport development projects for all areas of transport on the national (corridor railways) and international level (networks TEN and TINA).

It also prepares background documents and instruments for the harmonization of transport policies of the CR and the EU, and prepares analyses and forecasts in the field of transport. It assesses land-use planning documentation for the whole Czech Republic at all levels. It is involved in the conceptual work on regional transport. For the Czech Ministry of Transport, or for other clients. It performs engineering work for transport constructions and plans.

Professional activity is focused on the following topics:

  • development of conceptual transport policy materials, their updating and monitoring;
  • assessment of transport policy application;
  • forecasting of the development of transport volumes, transport capacities, and traffic volumes;
  • position of railways in the provision of transport services;
  • concept for the development of transport infrastructure;
  • assessment of land-use planning documentation.
