Department of civil aviation (O16)
This department deals with the issues of civil aviation and its position in relation to other modes of transport. For this purpose, an information database is maintained, which includes current information on air traffic, infrastructure, traffic performance, technology and other related knowledge. Furthermore, this department deals with international aspects of air transport in relation to the official development in the CR, and analyzes and evaluates the complex effects of air transport on the environment, including its development trends.
Professional activity is focused on the following topics:
- information database on air transport, departmental statistics,
- status of civil aviation transport in the transport system of the Czech Republic,
- participation of air transport in multimodal transport chains,
- development of airports and their impact on regional development,
- safety of civil aviation,
- impacts of air activities on the environment.
