Accreditations and certifications

CDV has introduced contract project management, certified quality management system (QMS) in compliance with standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016, environmental management system (EMS) in compliance with standard ČSN EN ISO 14001:2016, and accredited laboratories in compliance with standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

The new legal form maintains the founder’s role of the Ministry of transport, which is still the most important strategic partner for CDV. However, it opens doors to closer cooperation with other ministries, particularly Ministry of the Environment, the Interior, and the Regional Development. The cooperation with regions, towns and municipalities, Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic, railway organizations, and universities also show promising development.

A challenge for us is cooperation with commercial companies, with whom we do not want to compete in fields where the commercial sector works and should work, but rather be their support or partner for introducing new technologies obtained from our own research in CDV or by means of the so-called technology transfer from a wide network of foreign partners.

Based on the above mentioned, we can formulate CDV’s mission – be a recognized and professionally independent organization whose work results are beneficial for the development of transport sector, from the viewpoints of inhabitants, government, ministry of transport, regional, municipal and local administrations, universities, media, and commercial sector. This is reflected in the mission of our institution: Our Knowledge Your Source.

Management integrated system

Transport Research Centre has introduced and certified quality management system (QMS) in compliance with standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016, and newly since 2020 environmental management system (EMS) in compliance with standard ČSN EN ISO 14001:2016 for research, development and technical activities for the needs of development and optimization of transport system as well as individual transport modes, including transport routes. Meeting the requirements of both standards is guaranteed by the optimum work of the management integrated system.
