Departments of Geoinformatics (O39)

Departments of Geoinformatics is focused on applications of geographic information systems in transport research. This deal with for example applications in transport safety (locating potentially dangerous sections), availability territories (network analysis, vulnerability sections of the network). We work with GPS devices which we use for accurate tracking, data collection and mapping. Our expertise allows us to offer services in a range of activities that require the GIS and field mapping not only on the transport infrastructure.

Overview of areas in which we can offer our cooperation:

  • Cartography - creating thematic maps
  • Mapping and data acquisition (GPS GeoExplorer 8000)
  • Risk assessment, network analysis
  • Data Processing in GIS (ArcGIS, ArcView, Quantum GIS)
  • Geostatistics
