Annotation

The project aims to compare materials used in the Czech Republic to limit water penetration in concrete structure (impregnation and penetration) with similar materials used in foreign countries. In addition, the project is to design and test, in semi-operation, new environmentally friendly materiál which can regulate water absorption in concrete in the maximum extent. The use of this material allows to minimize water penetration in the concrete structure from the surface as well as to limit infiltration of undesirable substances, coming together with water penetration, from subbase and subgrade layers. Limiting recurring water penetration into the concrete structure will significantly reduce failure occurrence of concrete structures, which are related to volume changes, e.g. ASR.
