Privacy Policy
The Transport Research centre, v. v. i., with its registered office at Líšeňská 2657/33a, 636 00 Brno, which may also act as an organizer of various conferences or other services provided, as the operator of a specially created website used to present the outputs of CDV or its subsidiaries (hereinafter also referred to as "We" or "CDV"), as the administrator of personal data, informs you as a user of the website www.cdv.cz about the collection of personal data and the privacy policy described below.
In particular, you will find below
- What personal data we will process about you;
- To whom your personal data may be transferred;
- For how long we will process your personal data; and
- What rights you have in relation to the protection of your personal data.

Processing of children's personal data
Our website is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not process the personal data of children under 16 years of age, except in cases where such data is required by the nature of the project or is explicitly requested. In such cases, CDV will act in accordance with applicable law, subject to the prescribed obligations and principles.
Scope of processing of personal data
When you contact us through the website, you may be asked to fill in certain information about yourself or your company. This information may include, but is not limited to:
- Your name, surname and academic degrees, if any
- business name,
- address or registered office
- identification number and tax identification number,
- telephone number,
- email address and/or other information necessary to provide the activity provided in view of its nature and purpose.
Taking and publishing photographs or audio and video recordings
Taking and publishing photographs, audio and video recordings of your person is only possible if you fill in a registration form for an in-person or online event organised by CDV. By completing the registration form, you give your express consent to the Controller to process my personal data within the meaning of Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), namely:
- taking photographs, audio or video recordings of my person and disclosing the personal data captured therein.
I give my consent to the taking and publishing of photographs, audio or video recordings of my person for the purpose of marketing and promotion of the Controller and the services offered by the Controller on the Controller's website and on social networks where the Controller has set up its own profile (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Youtube), for an indefinite period of time, or until the withdrawal of this consent.
Purpose of processing
We use the data you provide to us to contact you back and to provide you with the information you have asked us for or for the purposes of fulfilling our contractual obligations or with regard to the nature of the work CDV carries out in relation to you (e.g. CV of a job seeker, data needed for participation in a competition, information needed to deal with enquiries, etc.). All personal data is processed in a lawful and transparent manner and only proportionate, relevant and necessary data is requested in relation to the purpose of the processing. In addition, we may use your name, surname and email address to send you commercial communications, i.e. to inform you about events, publications or services we provide that we think may be of interest to you. The provision of personal data for the purposes of performance of a contract and the provision of personal data for the purposes of responding to enquiries or information requested by you is a contractual requirement of ours and failure to provide it may result in a failure to enter into a contract or to respond to enquiries raised by you.
In addition, you may refuse the processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending you commercial communications at any time and this will not affect our other relationships with you. Simply send us an email with the relevant request to gdpr@cdv.cz or any other address from which you have received commercial communications from us.
Who has access to your personal data
Your personal data will be processed by us as the controller. We may transfer your personal data to our subcontractors for the above purposes to carry out the processing for us.
A specific list of processors is available on request at gdpr@cdv.cz to ensure that it is up to date.
Duration of processing of personal data
We will process your personal data for as long as we provide you with our services or perform a mutual contract, or for as long as necessary to comply with archiving obligations under applicable legislation, such as the Accounting Act, the Archives and Records Act or the Value Added Tax Act.
Your rights arising from the processing of personal data
You have the following rights in relation to our processing of your personal data:
- the right to access your personal data;
- the right to rectification;
- the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- the right to restriction of data processing;
- the right to object to processing; and
- the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of personal data.

You can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Data Protection Authority.
The right of access means that you can ask for our confirmation at any time as to whether or not personal data relating to you is being processed and, if so, for what purposes, to what extent, to whom it is disclosed, how long we will process it, whether you have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or to object, where we obtained the personal data from and whether or not automated decision-making, including profiling, is taking place as a result of the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data, the first provision of which is free of charge, and for further provision the Intermediary may require reasonable payment of administrative costs.
The right to rectification means that you can ask us to correct or complete your personal data at any time if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to erasure means that we must erase your personal data if (i) it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed, (ii) the processing is unlawful, (iii) you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or (iv) we are required to do so by law.
The right to restrict processing means that until we have resolved any disputed issues about the processing of your personal data, we must restrict the processing of your personal data so that we can only hold it and, where appropriate, use it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Right to object means that you can object to us processing your personal data that we process for direct marketing purposes or on the grounds of legitimate interest. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, your personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes.
