Head of IT

We are looking for an "IT guy" or "IT girl" with an interest in the development of our own software, its further development and maintenance. You will lead a department of 10 people, from computer administrators to programmers. What is your job?

• Develop and maintain internally developed applications and create bespoke software for research projects,
• Define SW and HW requirements within internal development (product orientation) and external procurement (development of the institution's IT systems),
• Plan and organize the activities of a 10-member team (programmers and VT administrators) with emphasis on quality of output and meeting deadlines,
• Participate in defining, enforcing, improving and adhering to the IT strategy and vision for the whole institution.

Knowledge and skills that open doors for you:

• 5+ years of IT experience, at least 2 years in a leadership position,
• General knowledge of IT, especially modern technologies,
• Experience with PHP 8+, MySQL, Nette 3+, OOP, React, Typescript, Node.js, GraphQL, REST api, Git, Linux, Docker, writing tests (ideally automated),
• Communication and organizational skills, analytical thinking,
• interest in cybersecurity,
• active knowledge of English language at the level of reading and writing documentation.

What we would love to have in addition:

• CI/CD experience,
• Interest in transport in various forms.
